ISO 24712 8601 Information Technology Interchange

This International Standard provides a set of test pages in a common file format , which is used in the testing of results of cartridges using colour toner and colour ink. This test suite is not designed to print photos, but instead shows typical pages used by consumers. The pages can be printed according to the ISO/IEC 19798 or ISO/IEC24711.
IEC (the International Electrotechnical Commission) IEC (the International Electrotechnical Commission) and ISO (the International Organization for Standardization) are the two specialized systems for global standardization. IEC or ISO members participate in the development international standards by way of technical committees. They are accountable for specific technical tasks. In areas of mutual concern The ISO and IEC Technical Committees work in tandem. Participation is also taken part by international non-governmental organizations, as well as governmental bodies, working with ISO and IEC. ISO/IEC JTC 1 is an ISO/IEC joint technical committee. It is responsible to develop international standards in the area of information technology.
Part 2. Part 2.

The draft International Standards that the joint technical committee has adopted are sent to national bodies for their approval. Publication of an International Standard is subject to approval by at minimum 75 % national bodies who have a vote. It is possible that specific parts of this document may be subject to patent rights. See Information technology -- Office equipment for more info.

IEC and ISO are not responsible in identifying any of these patent rights. ISO/IEC 24712 was developed by Joint Technical Committee ISO/IEC JTC 1. Information technology Subcommittee SC 28, Office equipment. This second edition replaces and cancels the first edition (ISO/IEC 24712:2006).

Scope: Color test pages for measuring office equipment consumables yield 1 Scope. This International Standard aims to define the colour test pages that are suitable for testing the yield of consumables. The test page set includes four "customer" types documents as well as one "diagnostic", which are used to determine the consumable limit of toner and ink. These pages can be used for electro-photographic, inkjet printers and multi-function devices that have a digital printing path, i.e. An electro-photographic device all-in-one that supports digital printing.

This International Standard contains a list of test pages that are in common format files that can be used for testing consumable yield. The procedure to use the pages is described in ISO/IEC 19798 and ISO/IEC 24711. These pages are meant to be representative of some kinds of documents that can be used at work and at home. They are not intended to be used in special applications such as printing photos. 2 References to normative documents These documents are required for the proper use of this document.
